Ravara Productions are currently looking for volunteers to act as chaperones for younger members of the theatre company. 
As a Chaperone you will be expected to supervise, guide and encourage younger members in their participation of the ongoing rehearsals and performances of the theatre company's shows. You will be expected to safeguard younger members and report any incidences to the Designated Officer. Ultimately, it is your role to ensure everyone (including yourself) has a good time!

Essential criteria
-A clear Access NI check
-Two references from non-familial adults
-A desire to work in the best interest of the members of the theatre company

Desirable criteria:
-Enthusiasm
-Dedication
-Good time keeping skills
-Ability to work as a team member
-Honesty
-Confidentiality
-Positive attitude
-Previous experience with children/young people

All Chaperones will be given an induction by the Designated Officer and will have a strong support unit throughout the rehearsal process.
Child Protection Training will be offered to all Chaperones, free of charge and this opportunity is an excellent chance to widen your work experience and list on your future CV!

Our next two fundraisers are coming up very soon and are sure to be two great evenings for all! With the huge funding cuts in the arts sector we have a very difficult job raising the necessary funds to produce the work and create the unique experiences for young people that we do! 
Your support at our fundraising events is invaluable and is also a fantastic way to get our Ravara community together! 
Our quiz night at the end of June will also be raising money for local charity, 'Autism NI'. 
Our summer concert will be taking place at the beginning of July at Belvoir Players, where there will be lots of musical treats!

With limited seating capacities for both events, we strongly guarantee that you pre book your tickets in order to avoid the possibility of being turned away at the door!

Our 'honesty box bakes' went down an absolute treat at Ballygowan's Community Fair on Monday 2nd June 2014. We raised a fantastic £120 through the generous donations of all those who called by and supported our cause! As always it was great to see lots of friendly faces and to get the chance to chat to new people about the great things we do!

A huge thank you to all those who baked for our sale and to the members who helped out with the organisation of the evening.  

The weekend of activities running for Ballygowan Fun Festival will conclude on Monday evening from 6pm where Ravara will be having a bake sale to raise money for our forthcoming summer projects!

Ballygowan Community Association say this about the evening:
"The festival begins at 6pm throughout Ballygowan with the roads being closed off. Vintage Cars, Tractors, Field hospital, Fire Service, Stalls, Ark Open Farm, Bouncy Castles & Slides, Climbing Wall, Penalty Kicks, Musical entertainment & dancing displays. PSNI, History Display, tea in the Village Hall, nail art, balloon modelling plus other attractions.This event is enjoyed by thousands and only happens every two years so come down and enjoy yourself."
