Our evening of musical theatre at Belvoir Players Studio on July 5th 2014 went down an absolute storm to a full house!
With over 40 performers from both our junior and senior sections, accompanied by a 5 piece band, we travelled through many musical genres with something for everyone. As always, the funds raised were a massive help to producing the projects that we deliver throughout the year and summer months. Thank you to everyone who took part and for those who supported the event.

We had a fabulous first induction evening with such a great bunch of young people! The sun was splitting the skies so we enjoyed intensely competitive games and ice cream outside!
A large number of those who we will be working with on this production over the coming two months were present, and it was great to get us all together before the hard work begins.
It was pleasing to see so many familiar faces and of course a delight to welcome a good number of new members who we hope felt fully involved and welcome during their first evening with us!

Monday (30th June) evening saw the majority of our Junior section come for their induction to Aladdin rehearsals! What a great atmosphere and buzz with all our young people, the excitement certainly has begun already.
Our Junior section director lead a series of short workshop activities to give everyone a feel of how we work. We had great involvement and participation from everyone present, and would also like to thank the chaperones for assisting and for being so encouraging.
After a short break we recommenced by showing the Aladdin movie for everyone who wanted to stay on. With lots of treats, popcorn and drinks we had plenty of satisfied junior members. The production team are equally excited to get started properly into rehearsals.
We hope to see as many of our junior section supporting our fundraising concert this Saturday evening as the funds raised will be going towards their production!
We are delighted to report the success of our latest fundraiser, 'A Norn Iron Quiz Night' at the Auld House, Moneyreagh on 27th June.
A lower number than that of previous years but the same great craic and generosity of all those who attended helped to raise a fabulous £470 for Ravara Productions and Autism NI.
The Northern Irish themed quiz evening had rounds such as Famous Faces, NI Places, NI Taste and of course Titanic, to name a few. Those who attended were also able to take part in our annual quiz night raffle with loads of goodies from a number of kind local businesses who supported us.
As always the comments from those in attendance were very warming and encouraging as many complimented the slick running and organisation of the evening! Thanks to all who helped with that. We thoroughly enjoy keeping up the annual joint community/charity fundraiser, its great to get everyone together and raise money for not one, but two great causes!

Ravara Productions are currently looking for volunteers to act as chaperones for younger members of the theatre company.
As a Chaperone you will be expected to supervise, guide and encourage younger members in their participation of the ongoing rehearsals and performances of the theatre company's shows. You will be expected to safeguard younger members and report any incidences to the Designated Officer. Ultimately, it is your role to ensure everyone (including yourself) has a good time!
-A clear Access NI check
-Two references from non-familial adults
-A desire to work in the best interest of the members of the theatre company
-Good time keeping skills
-Ability to work as a team member
-Previous experience with children/young people
All Chaperones will be given an induction by the Designated Officer and will have a strong support unit throughout the rehearsal process.
Child Protection Training will be offered to all Chaperones, free of charge and this opportunity is an excellent chance to widen your work experience and list on your future CV!
